Dmitri Mazurov

composer, sound artist, video artist

Born in 1982 in Novosibirsk, Siberia. Started his first musical explorations in experimental
electronics in 1999. Studied Theory of Music at the Novosibirsk Music College. In 2013 he moved to Moscow and began his career as a sound artist and a composer.
Currently, Dmitri is working in the field of contemporary academic music,
multichannel electroacoustics, experimental electronics. He also composes music for film,
theatre and performances. Refers to different fields of non-academic music (post-rock, free
improvisation, techno, ambient and others).


He releases music on foreign and Russian labels: Detroit Underground (USA),

Psychonavigation (Ireland), Wil Ru (USA), Electroshock. At the moment the discography contains 4 albums of electronic music, several singles and is featured in several collections.

He is a participant of international festivals: inSonic: Immersive future (ZKM
Center for Art and Media Technologies, Germany); Venice Biennale (in the framework of the project of Natalia Alfutova Faced2Faced); Diaghilev Festival (in collaboration with composer Alexey Sioumak); Cube fest (Virginia Polytechnic Institute, USA); "Another Space"; “Geometry of Now” (GES - 2, Moscow); Cosmoscow; GAM-festival; Arena festival (Riga, Latvia); Synthposium; Archstoyanie and others.

Took part in the VII International Academy of Young Composers in Tchaikovsky
city. Participated in master-classes by composers such as Yannis Kyriakides, Dmitri Kourliandski, Jerome Combier.
